Stephanie Wilkinson, Beeston BID Manager

Stephanie has over 5 and half years town centre management experience and joins the BID from her previous role as Economic Development Officer at Broxtowe Borough Council. "I have been working on creating a BID for Beeston since day one so it is great that I now have the opportunity to see it through and deliver a business plan that I hope will have a positive impact on both the visitor and business perception of Beeston Town Centre. We have a great board of Directors who are all genuinely passionate about Beeston and with the help of the other businesses in the town; I think together we can make Beeston really special".

Jade Longdon, Beeston BID Assistant

Jade started with Beeston BID in May 2011 and is currently working towards a Business and Admin level 2 NVQ through Derbyshire and Nottingham chamber of Commerce. Jade deals with the administration of our projects and keeps businesses informed via email on a weekly basis.

"Although I have only been working at the BID office a few months, I already feel part of the team. I have enjoyed going around the town and meeting the businesses and think that Beeston is a really friendly place to work. I hope along with Stephanie and the board, I can help make a difference".

Dan Walker is a Partner of CP Walker & Sons, a Beeston based family business than has been involved in the letting, sale and management of commercial and residential properties around the area since 1896. Dan says "Beeston BID is an excellent opportunity for the business community to work together for the common good; to pool resources to help attract more people to the town and to improve awareness of the range of goods and services that are available in Beeston."

Julie Cameron of Cameron House

Julie has lived in Beeston for over 35 years. "Setting up and running my own business, Cameron House, I understand the challenges independent retailers face on a day to day basis. Working with the BID I hope to achieve more awareness for the wealth of independent businesses Beeston has to offer. I hope my passion for retail, local knowledge of Beeston and hardworking ethos will go towards helping the Beeston BID deliver a positive difference."

Alan Mele, Local Business Manager at Barclays Bank

Alan has been working with local businesses for eleven years. "I feel that the BID for Beeston is an excellent opportunity for us to showcase to the local area and wider what we can offer on a business footing and also to the general public as a whole. It is really important to me that the BID is a success and generates business for all."

Simon Hale of Ellis-Fermor & Negus Solicitors

Simon works with many small local businesses. "I live and work locally and want to see Beeston continue to be a thriving Town Centre. I believe we are fortunate in Beeston: we can still enjoy a different shopping experience where we have shopkeepers who understand their products and have the time to give advice. However, there are many threats and I believe that the BID has an important role to play in ensuring Beeston remains a great place to live, work, shop and relax."

Kevin Brown of Charlie Foggs

Kevin has been trading in Beeston for 23 years. "I'm hoping that this is a turning point with the town's economic development. Beeston has long needed a business led initiative that has the ability to promote the town, the BID board will ensure that all businesses in the BID are able to benefit from increased media coverage and that the marketing of Beeston will benefit us all."
